Trieste Science+Fiction Festival brings six days of international science-fiction and fantastic cinema to the city, with premieres, retrospectives, guests, talks and events extending beyond film into literature, comics, games, science and technology. The 26th edition uses the Politeama Rossetti and Cinema Ariston for screenings, while the Sci-Fi Dome in Piazza della Borsa hosts additional programming. The festival’s long relationship with Trieste makes the city more than a backdrop, particularly in a place already closely associated with science, research and speculative culture.
