Klagenfurt’s Krampus procession brings one of the Alpine region’s most recognizable pre-Christmas traditions into the city center. More than a thousand Krampusse, Perchten, witches, angels and other traditional figures have taken part in recent editions, moving through the old town in carved masks, fur and heavy bells. The 2026 procession marks the event’s 35th anniversary, turning the streets into one of Carinthia’s largest public expressions of the Krampus tradition.
