The Brda Contemporary Music Festival brings creative music and improvisation into the wine villages of Goriška Brda. Its 16th edition again centers on Medana, with performances in intimate village venues. The festival deliberately creates a meeting point among Slovenian, Italian and international musicians, while also bringing contemporary music into conversation with visual art and poetry. The borderland setting is integral rather than incidental to the program.
